As a career advisor working with Indiana University graduate students, I was inspired by the ongoing graduate student strike to reflect on the broader academic labor system. I share resources on adjunct and faculty working conditions, encouraging students to research the realities of academic careers so they can make informed decisions about whether academia is the right path for them.
